What a way to start your morning
We have a pretty good routine when it comes to outdoor training. Every morning I let the dogs out. However, Bear does not like to be out long because he needs to know what I am doing every moment. Well this morning I left him out too long. When I do that Bear gets upset and decides to roll in his uncle's poop. When I let them in this morning I wasn't really paying attention until I started to smell something that wasn't quite fresh. I looked at Bear and he looked off and started running. He went and hid under the dining room table, so I knew something was wrong. I crawled under the table and Bear had poop all around both sides of his neck where he had just wallowed and rolled in poop. So I had to drag him from under the table and lock him in the bathroom with me while I ran him bath water. Bear is in need of hear cut so I had to really scrub to get all the poop out of his hair....why me?!

Bear and the balloon
Bear is a very inquisitive dog. Nothing gets by him. I have found something that Bear is very leary of and it is a helium balloon. It has a weight at the bottom of it and Bear doen not want anything around that he can't play and run with. When he goes after the weight the balloon moves with it and it drives him crazy. He runs like lightening, realizes this is his house then comes back and barks at the balloon until I put it up. It is really funny to see- I will have to post a video of it soon.
A day and life of Bear the Bichon
We are about to begin a series of activities performed by Bear. He is quite the character. We'll start with yesterday since it is fresh on my mind and my husband is still pissed off. I was taking a nap yesterday when I heard Bear chewing on something under the bed. As you will get to know, Bear is a certified, slick and habitual thief. I went to get a flash light so that I could see- I keep one near the bed since I have to play cops and robbers with him often. When I shined the light on Bear he ran, of course. Under the bed was the bottom plate of my husband's dentures. I picked them up with the paper they were wrapped in and started to look for the second set and Bear. My husband was sitting in another room on a bed, and beneath it I see a set of big brown eyes peeking from under it. Once I moved toward Bear, he bolted but this time with the teeth in his mouth. I did't want to tell my husband that our dog was wearing his dentures but Bear was running with them, I was chasing him, and we were not being very inconspicuous. My husband is beside himself, and thinks that Bear is crazy.
